Condolences
Pat Grimstad Retired Dance Teacher September 15, 2007

I so appreciate Sharon taking the time to call me about Connie's passing.  I only remember her as a sweet and earnest little dance student I find hard to reconcile as a grown up mother and now passed away.  I am in the process of pulling all the 27 years of dance recitals and student pictures together in albums and will keep an eye out for the Denison girls, make copies and send to Jim and Betty  or Don Denison.  You may have them in your scrapbooks, but maybe not.  It will be a while before I get to that huge undertaking, but not too long.  It is hard to believe I am starting to lose some of my extended family of dance students. I will be adding this umfortunate story about Connie to that scrapbook.  I am grateful for the times when I do see members of the Denison Family.

My condolences to you all,

Pat Grimstad

I was so sorry to hear of Connie's passing.  I too grew up in Toledo and attended Toledo schools.  As a child I was good friends with Connie's elder sister Sharon, and spent a lot of time at the Denison home.  I remember Connie as a quiet, smart, very kind and loving girl.  If memory serves, she had light hair and pale skin in Jr. High school, and I called her "The Snow Queen."  (Later on I did an oil painting using her as my model; unfortunately the painting has been lost.)

My condolences to everyone in the Denison family.  I remember them all with affection.  I hope this can help in a small way in getting through their difficult time.

I'm sorry for your loss.  I saw the obituary in the Albany Democrat Herald today and was shocked.  I teach at the Benton Center for LBCC and had Connie was in a lot of my classes.  She was one of my "favorite" students.  She shared a lot of her life stories with me and proudly introduced her daughter to me one day.  I will truly miss her.  She had such a gentle caring spirit, but, at the same time, stood up for what she thought was right.  I admired her.  From all of us at the Benton Center Bus. Tech Lab, you have our sympathy,
